I am Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and I study virtual worlds, games, institutions, and indeterminacy (contingency).

My principal interest is in the relationships among institutions, unpredictability, and technology, particularly as they are realized through games and game-like processes. See the other tabs above for links to more of my writings.
